Buzz Machine has a snippet from an email dialog with an Iranian blogger. The take on the anti-war movement, or the lack thereof, is one that I've shared since my days at UC Berkeley. During the first gulf war, I remember wanting to agree with the anti-war activists around campus but ended up feeling that what they were protesting against didn't have much to do with the reality on the ground. As I see it, a major problem is that so much of the anti-war movement, both then and now, is based on the premise that all war is wrong, that there are no just wars. This lack of nuance leads to untenable positions.
