Call me a luddite but I've always been skeptical of Ginger: it's an expensive toy. I can see why a someone would want one but I don't see it as the revolutionary product that its self-serving investors make it out to be. Aside from the fact that it's so expensive that it's solely for the wealthy, I am bothered by the fact that it is another so-called technological advance that encourages less walking. This is not progress as we're too sedentary as it is. It seems to me that the most livable cities are those that have maintained a walkable habitat and given my experience with powered scooters on sidewalks adding Segways to the mix will not be an improvment.
